HOW IT ALL STARTED
In 1984 Mr. Sanh Chung established Viet Huong from humble beginnings in San Francisco. His vision was to create a worldwide premium fish sauce brand. As a wholly owned family-operated business, Viet Huong has grown from door-to-door sales to the international fish sauce company it is today. A single mission has fueled our dedicated journey:
To produce An all-purpose natural seasoning that enhances the flavor of your favorite dishes. The Viet Huong name was created by combining "Việt," the original Vietnamese word for Vietnam, with "Hương", denoting a pleasant smell. It was chosen for its simple pronunciation.
Over the 28-year period since our inception, households, celebrity chefs and the food industry have expressed their enjoyment of Viet Huong Premium Fish Sauces. "Three Crabs" was highlighted as a "Chef's Secret Ingredient" in Bon Appetit Magazine, an American food and entertaining magazine published monthly.
Today, Viet Huong continues our pursuit to perfect the Premium Fish Sauce to enhance the flavor of all your favorite dishes.
