  • HACCP QUALITY STANDARD

    Viet Huong Company has been in business since 1984 and has been certified by ISO9001:2008 and HACCP (CODEX) which are endorsements towards its commitment on quality and management. We have also received the certification of HALAL by JAKIM, Malaysia. Viet Huong enjoys the geographic advantages of our plants in Phú Quốc and Rayong that are located near shipping ports to immediately process the freshest anchovies. As a result, the histamine level of our Premium Fish Sauce is under 100ppm which is far below the international food safety minimum requirement*!

    * Histamine is an organic compound resulting from enzymatic decarboxilation of histidine (amino acid), naturally present in the fish. It is a good indicator of the freshness of the raw material at the beginning of processing stage. A low level of histamine in fishmeal indicates a very fresh fish. According to the requirement of the Codex Alimentarius (HACCP), the histamine level should not exceed 200 ppm.

    Complying with HACCP, Viet Huong's inline processing system in our state-of-the-art factory in Hong Kong is fully automated to eliminate human interaction at every part of the process in order to prevent any potential contamination.
